We love clients who come to us with a plan, even more so when they plan in advance! Our client wanted to prepare for the Super Bowl in New Orleans, LA by creating fun custom charms. We wanted to highlight this project to show that as long as you have an idea, we can build on your design and create a fantastic final product.
The Design
As you can see, the client submitted a sketch of their idea on our quote request form. That’s okay! While only on paper, there are clear and legible instructions the client gave to us. There is a splash of glitter on the design, showing they want to separate those segments from the rest of the charm. We can easily build on this in order to create a production art proof.
The Shape
The shape of the custom charm, while uncommon, is clear and understandable. Our client made it obvious that they’re considering two different loop positions on the charm. We could either have two loops on either side or place a single loop on the top. They wanted to see what their options would look like between the two different loop locations.
The Gold Plating
As mentioned before, our client had placed golden glitter on the bottom of the design. They indicated they wanted this to be a different texture than the standard gold plating that would be on the charm. We decided to use a plating method called sandblasting. Sandblasting basically means we add a coarse or matte surface to sections of the charm. This way we can make those sections stand out from the rest!
The Art Proof
In the art proof, we see that the client wanted to keep the white section of the custom charm, and filled the state with plating. They also decided to use a single loop on top of the charm, since they believed it looked better in the long term and could be attached to far more accessories.
The Final Product!
Clean, crisp, and charming! Pun fully intended. Our client finished with a fabulous final charm by keeping it simple and giving us the basic highlights. It just shows that with a concise layout, you don’t need to be polished. We can polish it for you!
